I drew this in my notebook while waiting on some coffee to brew at work. Can you tell who it is? It's supposed to be Shakespeare, based off the cover painting on the Barnes and Noble edition of The Sonnets I'm reading at the moment. (Free advice: Don't read sonnets while depressed. It doesn't help.) Some of the shading on the neck came off as too beard like and not shade enough like, but that's what you get when scratching away in Subway. I wasn't sure at first whether I would go all the way with crosshatching, rendering shadows, etc., so I was pretty lax on where lines went. Still, I think it turned out alright.

Obviously not much effort went into them. Not only did I do those I hated, however. I also did myself. Kind of. Not exactly the same thing.
Ben, these Facebook satires are AWESOME. I DEMAND you do this on a regular basis! I think the crudish drawings only enhance the funniness. Do me do me!
ReplyDeleteYour self portrait made my head explode, I couldn't follow it! I'll look at it some more to see if I can decipher it. I have a feeling a decoder ring and a mirror need to be employed. The adventure guy is astonishing and I've got one on my friend list!
ReplyDeleteDo one about a man boy in glasses who is trapped in his job and will never get out, so he has to post profile pictures of cuddly creatures and pop culture icons to make himself feel better.
The self poor trait was good and Shakespeare...well he was a creepy one wasn't he? How gives his wife the second best bed? What did he do with the best bed? Pee on it?
